The YoLink Vibration Sensor is a general purpose vibration sensor that can be applied to physical security and non-security applications, including as a shock sensor, glass break sensor, tamper alarm, safe/cabinet security sensor, laundry machine sensor, generator sensor, sump pump sensor, etc.
Vibration, or the lack of vibration, can trigger notifications, alarms, device actions and other automations. This makes the sensor useful for many applications, including generator-test/-running, sump pump activity, and general activity-tracking (if device, appliance or equipment vibrates, shakes or moves while in operation).
The Vibration Sensor can be placed in or on an object, such as placed in a drawer or storage box. It can be adhered to an object, using the pre-applied 3M brand mounting tape. It can be affixed or screwed to an object, using the

Q: Can the YoLink vibration sensor be used on a washer and dryer without triggering false alarms, such as when the machine is bumped or the door is opened? Is it possible to trigger an alert only if the machine has been vibrating for a specific duration, like 10 minutes?
A: To use the YoLink vibration sensor with a washer or dryer and minimize false alarms, you'll need to customize the sensitivity, alert interval time, and time to enter the no vibration state according to your specific needs. This may require some testing and adjustments to find the optimal settings for your situation. By fine-tuning these settings, you can reduce the chances of triggering alerts for minor vibrations, such as bumping the machine or opening the door, and instead receive alerts for more prolonged vibrations, like those produced during a wash or dry cycle.

the device work as advertised but has to purchase more 3m tape as several fell off their mounts after several days
What I value is the long battery life, the effective distance and most of all the independence from external control and privacy invasions that are built in to many other security systems. These are the strengths of this product line.
Works good! Easy to add and instal.
The long range connectivity on this line of products give them a big plus!
I have an addition in the works. A downstairs master suite. Given that is very private (wooded) and the windows at ground level it's a security risk. I purchased 7 vibration sensors, one for each window.
I have had water sensors and outdoor motion sensors for some while and have been extremely pleased with the results. One water sensor saved me a huge amount of grief already. An attic heatpump (AC mode) leaked while I was away. When the sensor tripped I was able to get a neighbor to pull the service disconnect. No more than a cup of water leaked on that subfloor. I have motion sensors around the house. The driveway one has had the most use. I get an alert within seconds when tripped.
The construction is close to being finished. I'm working with the vibration sensors on an existing window to determine what sensitivity I will use. My only concern is that a nearby lighting strike will rattle the windows and trip the sensors so I'm adjusting sensitivity so it will hopefully alarm only on glass breakage. So far so good. I REALLY like Yolink products. An excellent ecosystem for home and security needs. The water sensor has saved me grief and I know when someone comes near the house/driveway immediately. I heartily recommend their products.
My hope is that Yolink implements the new Matter Protocol and MQTT so a home server can be used for alerts rather than phoning home/cloud or an open software that supports Tasmota. Those would raise an already excellent performance to another level.
