Introduction:
A smart handheld fob, for use with YoLink siren products. Using Control-D2D device-to-device pairing, the SirenFob can be used to configure a standalone security system, including the fob, one or more sirens, and one or more security/intrusion detection devices.

  • Please note: the SirenFob can operate without an internet connection and without a YoLink hub, making it ideal for standalone (for example, one siren and one SirenFob) applications, offline and off-grid application. But, the app will not function for the SirenFob in these cases, and no low battery level notifications will be sent, the device health (signal level, etc.) can not be checked, and firmware updates (product enhancements, etc.) can not be performed without a connection to YoLink hub and YoLink app account. 
Button Features:
  • Siren activate button:  turns on the paired siren(s), if not already on
  • Siren deactivate button: silences the paired sirens(s), if they are activated/sounding
  • Disarm button: pressing this button prevents the siren from activating due to the activation of any paired security devices (see Applications for more information)
  • Arm button: after pressing the arm button, the siren(s) will activate if any paired security devices trigger an alarm response

Applications:
The Control-D2D device-to-device pairing feature of the SirenFob makes it ideal for "offline" or "standalone" applications, where there is no internet connection and/or no YoLink Hub or SpeakerHub (to provide an internet connection for your YoLink devices), such as for mobile security applications, temporary security applications, and for personal (take with you while traveling, etc.). If your YoLink devices are expected to always be online (not standalone), consider our FlexFob smart fob, which can perform the functions of the SirenFob, and more.

  • Use the Control-D2D device-to-device pairing feature (which only takes a minute or two!) to pair your fob to one or more sirens. Then, you can directly control your siren, turning it on or off at any time
  • Use your siren as a panic alarm; turn the siren on when needed
  • Create your own customized offline/standalone security system: pair your SirenFob to one or more siren products. Then, pair one or more security devices (for example, motion sensors, vibration sensors, door sensors) to the siren. At this point, the alarm devices will activate your siren(s), but only if "armed" by the SirenFob*
  • Protect your vehicle from theft, vandalism, parking hit & run, and catalytic converter theft**
  • Protect your RV from break-ins and theft
  • Protect your boat from break-ins and theft
  • Protect your storage unit, storage shed, or storage building (with no internet connection)
  • Protect off-grid homes, hunting cabins, etc.
  • Create a personal security system while traveling and staying in a hotel 
* Please note: if your YoLink devices are online (in wireless range of a YoLink hub with an internet connection) any settings you may have made previously in the app may conflict with your desired standalone/offline operation as configured by your SirenFob device pairings and arm/disarm status. For example, if you are using YoLink security products in a vehicle or RV, intended for applications without internet access, your devices will operate as expected while they have no internet connection, but when your car or RV is parked at home (in range of your YoLink hub), if you have settings in the app that control your siren or that determine when your alarm devices are armed or disarmed, unexpected behaviors can occur. Consider your settings in the app, to avoid conflicts with your SirenFob settings, paired devices, or arm/disarm status. 

** If using a mobile security application, while your YoLink alarm devices are out of range of a YoLink hub, please note, alarm activation (e.g. a break-in) will not be displayed on the app, and you will not receive SMS, email, or other notifications.  Your siren once activated, if not silenced, may drain the batteries down.

Q:  Are the batteries replaceable?  A: Yes. The battery cover is accessible from the back of the fob. After removing the screw (with a small Phillips screwdriver) gently pry off the cover with a slotted screwdriver. Replace the two AA batteries, then snap the cover back on, and reinsert and tighten the screw.

Q: Is this waterproof, can it be used outside?  A: The SirenFob, like a car key fob, is water-resistant, not waterproof, and it should not be allowed to be submerged or allowed to get wet. Dry it off right away if it gets wet.
