EASY set-up. They are better than I anticipated and arrived really fast. Nice peace of mind. We’re up to 10 sensors…. anywhere I could think of for a leak, plus a back up.

Water Leak Sensor 2

I purchased 5 Water Leak Sensor 2 units a couple of weeks ago. These devices are designed very well. You can lay them on the floor or in my case, I have used the hanging clip method where you stick on a wall the enclosed clip
and your sensor hangs on it. You then plug in the sensor cable to the sensor and place the cable in the area you are tyring to monitor. Excellent for a water heater that is sitting in a pan to catch leaking water. Also another great spot is for a counter top refrigerator in an enclosed area where you can hang the sensor on the wall behind the refrigerator and then lay the cable along the wall catching any water that might leak from the water line inlet connection point or from a break in the incoming water line itself. Under the sink I used one with an extension sensor cable to monitor the reverse osmosis water coonnection and incoming water line, an ozonation unit water line and connection point plus the area under the incoming copper lines which also have a connection to a diswasher. In testing it worked great, In less than 2 seconds after touching a small spot on the cable with water, the audible alarm in the sensor went off, I received an notification and also a text letting me know what happened. The only reason I gave it 4 starts instead of 5 was because you can't shut off the audible alarm untill you dry off the cable. You can dry off the cable very quickly with a hair dryer. But if you ar gone from your home, the alarm will keep on sounding. I have all but one of my 15 sensors connected to a bulldog robot valve which shuts down the water to the whole house immediately. Great sensors. Great security.
