The sensor with the rope works well. I used one by my kitchen sink and dishwasher, one by my washing machine, and the third behind my refrigerator. There was one drop of water that splashed behind my refrigerator that triggered the sensor and shut off my main water (which I programmed to do). I couldn't get the sensor to stop sending notices until I took a hair dryer to the rope to get it bone dry.

Great product, perfect for under the refrigerator, the washing machine, carefully surrounding the perimeter of my dishwasher - all to detect water leakage early and prevent serious damage. Also great customer support from YOLINK. I recommend their products.

This model of water leak sensor has a tail or rope that you can out around the edge of a cabinet or appliance. That way if the device leaks you get notified no matter which direction the water flows.

These have been great leak detectors! I use them under my aquariums, and they've performed exactly as needed. On a couple of occasions, I’ve accidentally dripped a bit of water onto the floor during maintenance, and the sensors went off immediately.

They’re very sensitive, which is perfect for catching small leaks or spills before they turn into bigger problems. The alerts are loud and noticeable, giving me peace of mind that I’ll be warned if something goes wrong when I’m not in the room.

Cons:

Sensitivity means they can go off from minor splashes, so placement is important

If you keep aquariums, I highly recommend using these under and around your tanks. A small investment that could save you from a major cleanup!

I have purchased a couple dozen YoLink Water Sensor 2 and Water Sensor 4 units. They all connected to the hub and app immediately, first time, with zero issues. They all work perfectly and they easily connected to a YoLink automated water valve with device-to-device (D2D) pairing. This allows a leak detector to shut off the main water valve with no internet and no hub connection. I've had zero false alarms from the couple dozen sensors I have deployed across 2 homes. I absolutely will buy more YoLink products.
