Finally a more modern approach for turning on and off landscape lighting. My preference for my lights is to turn them on at dusk, run them to about 11:30 pm at night and then turn them on again in the morning at 4:30 am and keep them lighted until sunrise occurs. Previously, my landscape lighting did this with a mechanical timer and a photo sensor. Worked, but subject to periodic repair as these components would fail. With the Smart Outdoor plug I use the Automations feature in the app and precisely control the lights for both sunset and sunrise. As a bonus, I can see engergy use throughout the year.

I have a printer that I don't use very often. It is located in a different part of the house. I use my plug to turn the printer on or off remotely. I used to forget to turn the printer off and would find it day or weeks later still on. This plug makes it easy not to forget.

These sensors work great I have them under my dishwasher, my refrigerators, my ice-maker, my sinks, toilets, etc. The latest sensors go under my ice-maker and sinks. I’ve been saved by these sensors detecting leaks, from my dishwasher, my clothes washer, and my kitchen fridge. Everyone should have these.

Very easy to set up and works excellently. Doesn't seem prone to spurious triggering from the wind or wind-blown debris. We have it triggering a speaker hub, which isn't an obnoxious alarm. We can be traveling and be made aware of anyone driving it walking up our driveway through the app No more surprises! Can't wait for cameras!

I used this to monitor the temp of my deep freezer where my breastmilk is stored. It gives me peace of mind knowing everything is kept fresh!

My wife's chicken raising colleague recommended Yo Link. I am delighted at how easy the setup was, how the sensors just work. The app is easy to use, even better with a recent update. Ha c ING history is helpful to see what went on overnight. I can see when heaters turned on, etc. So glad to have several for our different coops! I highly recommend this approach!

Outdoor Motion Sensor

I have purchased two of these units in the past. One went bad after about a year and a half. Called Customer Service, they sent a new one free of charge, and I shipped the old one back. They have held up great overall.
My recommendation is for YoLink to design and create an OUTDOOR POWER TRANSFORMER, that is designed as a box to mount, and to plug devices into. That will ensure proper weather proofing, and maybe also add the ability to install landscape lighting with wire connections. I would really like to see this as an option soon, since I can't really use this outdoor power strip and leave it outside year-round without being protected from mother nature.

Combining the Yolink outdoor motion sensors with the in-wall switches and instant alert through the App has proven to be a very effective way to be notified of any activity around our home and property. The hardware works great and the App is so smart and flexible the ability to customize is unlimited. Thank’s Yolink!

The battery requirement terrifies me, but I have over year before I have to worry about that. Sooner or later, they will figure out how to charge a battery or supercap from the load and get rid of a replaceable battery. I have yet to find a use for the two extra buttons, but they don't seem to hurt anything.
