This is definitely not weather proof. Even under the eaves, at the first sign of rain, this thing fails.

I needed a remote controlled outlet for my 1500W crawl space heater -- it saves me crawling under the house to turn it on and off as the seasons change. Other devices will not function with that much current draw - this one is PERFECT!
