Using as replacements for original Type 2 cables

We have about 500 Type 2 sensors in our HOA with a handful of original cables that, even when dried out for weeks, still send an alert. So they seem to be faulty in some way. We've been replacing them with these new cables.

4 Foot Sensor Cable for Water Leak Sensor 2

We had about 800 of these cables in service for the last 2 years, and we have experienced 10 to 15 suspicious failures. Seems like once the cable has been activated, it has a tendency to give out false alarms. Had to replace them with these replacement cables.

Saved our Water Plant

This water sensor rope saved our water filtration plant. It alerted me immediately after a valve rupture. The rope is extremely sensitive to water!

Malfunction

After several weeks one sensor cable was giving a false alarm. I swapped the sensor cable to another sensor and it too alarmed. I ordered a replacement sensor cable and all seems to be fine now. I ordered an extra sensor cable just as a precaution as it is located in a rental unit. With this exception I am very pleased with the system. I have a total of 5 water sensors, a light switch linked to a door sensor and a water shutoff valve linked to all 5 water sensors. The piece of mind of not worrying about a water leak and property damage is amazing. The added benefit is that I know the system will keep working even if there is a power outage. Yolink is the bomb!

Very Sensitive Leak Detection Wires

I've purchased leak detectors, Gen 2, to place leak detection wires inside walls for leak detection.

I tested the leak detecton sensor wires so I could know what level of water would trip the detector. I placed the wire in a dish with the intention of spraing from a water bottle. I had not noticed, but there were some small drops of water inside the dish, which to my surprise, set off the detector.

I allowed the sensor wire to dry, then tried again. I misted the wire and it didn't take more than a couple sprays of very fine mist to trip the detector. I have verified that an extremely small about of water will trigger the detector.
You can be confident that the sensor wire paired with a Gen 2 detector will alert to the first sign of ANY water leakage.

I live in Florida, so I hope High Humity days will not set it off!! LOL
