YoLink with Google Home

Connect your YoLink account to Google Home, then check the controls and readings available for your exact devices.

Before you start

Set up YoLink first

Add your devices in the YoLink app and confirm they work there before linking another service.

Keep your hub online

Hub-based devices need their required YoLink hub powered and connected to the internet for this integration.

Use your app account

Have your YoLink app sign-in ready. Link the account that contains the devices you want to use.

Link YoLink to Google Home

  1. Open the Google Home app

Choose the Google account and home you want to use. Tap Add, then Device.

  2. Find the YoLink service

Choose Add a different way and search for YoLink. Select the YoLink app or service, then follow the linking prompts. Some app versions show this under Works with Google.

  3. Sign in and authorize

Use your YoLink app account and approve the connection. Complete Google's remaining setup prompts.

  4. Organize and test one device

Give a supported device a clear name, assign it to a room and test the reading or control you actually need before building an automation.

App menus change. If your screen differs, follow Google's current third-party device setup guide ↗.

Check the function, not just the device name

A device appearing in Google Home does not establish support for every reading, voice command or automation trigger.

Controls

Check which actions Google Home exposes for your exact device. Test the available action directly.

Readings

Check the sensor information Google can show or answer. Available readings depend on the model.

Automations

A visible reading is not automatically an available automation starter. Check the options offered for that device.

Model example: YoSmart's YS7804 guidance states that this motion sensor does not support Google Assistant integration. Find YS7804 manuals and resources →.

Check the model and the function

Documented functions and important limits
Product What you can use Requirements and limits
YoLink Hub / SpeakerHub Connect compatible YoLink devices through the linked YoLink service. Google Home may show the compatible devices without showing the hub itself. Check controls/readings for each device.
Local Hub (YS1606) Configure supported Local API or Matter integrations separately from the YoLink service link. A successful YoLink account link does not establish which devices or functions a Matter bridge exposes. Confirm the exact model/function before buying for Matter.
FlexFob (YS3604F) Alexa short-press Routine support is documented separately. A Google Home button-trigger mapping has not been verified for this guide. If that is your intended use, confirm the exact button action before ordering.

Troubleshooting

My hub does not appear in Google Home

That alone does not mean linking failed. YoSmart's hub guidance explains that Google Home shows compatible YoLink devices, rather than the hub itself. Check a supported device from the linked account.

Linking fails or I see no devices
  • Check that the device works in the YoLink app and its required hub is online.
  • Confirm you linked the YoLink account containing that device.
  • Check the exact model's Google Home support; unsupported functions will not become available by repeating setup.
  • For supported devices, try Google's device sync or account reconnect flow.

I added a device after linking

Finish adding it to YoLink first. Then ask a Google voice assistant to “sync my devices”, or follow Google's in-app steps to check for new devices. Confirm that the newly added model supports the function you need.

A reading or automation option is missing

Check your exact model's manual. Device discovery, displayed readings and automation starters are separate capabilities. Tell support the model and the specific reading, command or starter you expected.

The command uses the wrong device

Check the device name and room in Google Home. Use distinct names when several devices are nearby, then try the supported control from the device tile before testing voice control again.
