Door Open/Closed Status
Use the YoLink app and always know the open/closed status of supervised doors and windows in your home or property. Additionally, monitor the open/closed status of important and/or valuable rooms or items in your home. Some examples include safe doors, storage cabinets, liquor cabinets, and important rooms in your home. Pro tip: for discreet installations on cabinets consider mounting the sensor on the inside of the cabinet. Refer to the installation manual for additional information and tips
Open-Remind App Feature
The open-Remind app feature will inform you of doors or windows left open too long, allowing you to also set up automations to save money afterwards (turning off thermostat or turning on siren after doors are left for more than 30 min.), etc. You can set the reminder duration anywhere from 20 seconds to 2 hours. Additionally, you can configure a "Continuous Alarm" for the "Open Reminder," which will send repetitive alerts at intervals between 10 and 120 minutes until the door or window is closed.

So far so good
Our house was built in the 60s and the water intake line is buried in a wall. I bought this valve because it required the least amount of space for covering the wall back up, somewhat simplifying the process. It has a manual shut off in case there is zero power. It takes a lot of turning of a small knob, but at least it's a back up. We kept the original valve on the house in addition. There is AC power AND battery backup, which is ideal for us. The app seems to work well, and I could operate the valve with it. I haven't tried it from outside the house, but hopefully I will never need to use it.
The plumber had no issues installing it. He had to cut out a space about 16 inches long to install the valve. Since the unit has a battery pack, if an outlet is not nearby, it can be installed later and operate with just the batteries.
The components seem well built. The mailperson dropped the package from a few feet onto our wood floor from our front door, which is a dutch door, but nothing was broken.
The app is simple, but I had difficulty finding where to add more sensors after adding one. The app could use some interface improvements. But most importantly is having the whole house shutoff valve installed in order for the property to be covered by insurance in California.

Functions well, I use it in my restaurant for equipment that might be older than I am. I can monitor everything from my cell phone while I'm at home and if I choose I can show the health dept the history of each monitor. I do wish it could be used on my laptop but for the price and function, the cell phone app is adequate
