A LITTLE PLANNING GOES A LONG WAY
Room and outdoor humidity sensors measure temperature and humidity. The YS8004 probe measures temperature only. Choose the measurement you need first.
Choose representative air conditions for rooms. For cold storage, position the probe and body separately within their respective limits. Follow outdoor mounting guidance.
Connect a compatible hub to the internet for app access and remote alerts. Set thresholds for your use case and test the installed sensor and notifications.
Compatible YoLink sensors can share a hub within its radio coverage. Walls, metal enclosures and placement affect reception, so test at the intended location.
Yes. Open the sensor in the YoLink app, then Details → Alert to set and save the desired low and high range. Alerts are triggered outside that range. Enable the related Alarm Strategy and your chosen notification methods, allow YoLink notifications in your phone settings, and test delivery. Follow the exact model’s manual for supported limits and syncing settings.
No. The YS8004 recommendations use a temperature-only wired probe. Choose a temperature and humidity sensor when both measurements are needed and its environmental limits suit the location.
These recommendations monitor conditions. Automated control requires separately compatible control devices and configuration; a sensor or starter kit alone does not control an HVAC system.
Not necessarily. Measurement range, sensor-body operating range and the app’s configurable alert range are separate specifications. Check the exact model and use limits appropriate to your installation.
