Unique features of the Valve Controller 2 include the ability to be powered by AC power, in addition to, or instead of battery power. The EVO Valve Operator, a bolt-on, "no-plumber-required" operator/manipulator mounts on your existing ball valve using a unique Direct-Drive attachment system. 

This product is available in additional starter kits.

Yolink water valve

This DYI unit is awesome, easy to install and works great. I had to use custom service to make sure I had the setting set correctly so the unit automatically turned off once the sensor sensed water. Customer service was beyond great. Very kind and knowledgeable. Great product…

It was so easy to connect, I didn't know I was done.

Overall, this was easy to set up.
Once I installed the app on my phone, connecting and configuring was handled easily with individualized QR labels on each component.
The directions didn't clearly state it's that easy, and I was already finished. I tried to continue with the next steps. When I gave up and called Customer Service, I got a live person who knew the answers--in less than a minute. Bonus: excellent English (maybe native speaker? )
One hint: My cold water supply valve had a brass finger sticking up to limit the handle's arc of travel (to 90 degrees). It got in the way of attaching the motor to the valve axle. A small cutting wheel on a generic Dremel (Harbor Freight) solved the problem nicely.
I had water damage a couple years ago, and had been anxious about something happening when we were out of town for a weekend. Having verified that a damp finger triggered immediate shut off, I am looking for something else to stress about.

Amazing!

This is brilliant! I am 59 & was able to follow the instructions & set it up by myself. It took me a phone call to the company to get the device to device pairing to work, but now, even without wifi or power, the valve will shut down the water to the house. I have such peace of mind now & highly recommend it!

Yolink for water leak detection in the house

The purchased system consists of one main water valve actuator and 18 water sensors (toilets, sinks, water heater, dishwasher, refrigerator, ...)
Wow! The system is simple and very easy to install.
I tested several water leak sensors and it really works well. The main water valve is closed within seconds. I received a SMS text message notification within seconds. The email took 6 minutes to come in! A bit long, but the SMS was very quick.
Our wifi network is a Google wifi mesh system.
I highly recommend this system.

Impressive technology

After damage from two floods in our rentals (and significant expense and time) we decided to install this technology in our personal home and all 6 of our rental townhomes with washing machines on the second floor. I am impressed by how easy it is to setup and install. We had some learning curve but were able to get everything set up and all the water sensors installed in just a few hours. We also were able to do it all without the assistance of an expensive plumbing company. So happy and we will sleep better when we complete all of the installations in our rental homes.

The Valve Controller 2: features include an outdoor-rated controller with 2+ years between battery changes (batteries are included). New features for the Valve Controller 2 include multiple power options. Using the included AC-to-12VDC power adapter, plug this in for normal operation on AC power, with battery "back-up", or use the adapter, only, or do not use the adapter for standard battery-powered (only) operation. (For even longer battery life, check out the X3 Valve Controller)

With the EVO Valve Operator. The EVO Valve Operator is a "bolt-on" ball valve operator/manipulator with a new and innovative attachment system. Rather than a "push/pull" approach to moving the ball valve lever, the EVO replaces the handle of the ball valve, and attaches directly to the ball valve shaft. This significantly improves efficiency, and overcomes most issues (related to the valve condition) that the Bulldog Valve Operator might be challenged by. As the EVO and ball valve essentially become one mechanism, this eliminates most of the issues that push/pull mechanisms have, that require specific adjustments to achieve ideal leverage, etcetera, specifically with older, stiffer, and/or larger valves. Installation is simple, and takes 15 minutes or less using only a Phillips screwdriver. 

The controller and EVO work in conjunction to provide smart wireless valve control, with YoLink's LoRa-based extreme long range wireless technology. 

  • Simple Do-It-Yourself, no-plumber-required, installation. The EVO installs in about 15 minutes, with just a Phillips screwdriver. (The valve controller installation requires additional tools and hardware for wall-mounted installation)

Add smart control, including remote manual control, schedule control, and automation based on interaction with other smart devices (such as YoLink smart water leak sensors). Additionally, the valve can be controlled by third-party applications like IFTTT, Home Assistant, Google and Alexa (including voice commands, like "Alexa, turn off the water")

Avoid the expense, inconvenience and mess associated with the installation of non-wireless valve controllers.

Enjoy functionality even during a power outage. Control-D2D paired devices will perform their paired function automatically, without an internet connection, without the app, and without AC power (in the case of battery-powered or battery-backed-up devices - an internet connection is required for full functionality and for the app to work.)

To enjoy all the features of your smart valve controller, it requires a connection to a YoLink hub (with an internet connection). While you can utilize the valve controller in a "standalone" mode, and use Control-D2D (device-to-device pairing) to pair your valve controller directly to water leak sensors and/or to a YoLink fob, these are intended to be "back-up" or supplemental configurations. 

The app will not function without a hub, and without a hub, the valve controller can not report or inform you of device health issues, such as low batteries.
