Check your valve fit

EVO operator seats over the valve shaft adapter; brackets and adjustable clamps secure it to the valve or pipe. — Mounting detail from the EVO installation guide. Your existing valve must fit the adapter and brackets.

Your existing ball valve must open and close smoothly with minimal effort and shut the water off completely.
The existing handle is removed. Check that the included shaft adapter can clamp onto the two flat sides of your valve shaft.
Allow space to seat the operator’s square socket on the adapter and secure two brackets and clamps to the valve or pipe. The kit includes both bracket sizes and adjustable clamps.
Check surrounding clearance and the existing handle orientation so the EVO handle can rotate freely. Follow the guide’s bracket configurations.

The existing ball valve, installation tools, hub and leak sensors are not included.

Check ball-valve size, handle travel, and mounting clearance before fitting the EVO operator. Its clutch allows manual valve operation when the motor is unavailable.

The valve operator bolts onto a compatible existing ball valve.

Recommended ball valve sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 2".

Use an overhead cover where the installation calls for added weather protection.

Valve position input (positive open/shut feedback).

Can be remotely-installed from the valve device, with optional extension cables.

Easy to install and great for peace of mind

I ordered the valve controller 2 and evo valve operator plus leak sensors for all of the supply lines around the house. The valve operator installation was a bit tricky since mine was in a really tight space but still straight forward. With easier access to the main water shutoff it would have been a very quick process. The leak sensors were all easy to pair with the hub. I haven't checked yet if my insurance will give me a discount for adding this setup but either way it's worth it to me.

So far good!

Changed from the finger type to the one that clamps on valve stem. Had to change out the valve to better clamp the operator on the valve. Used Sharkbite fittings with PEX 1Inch

Water shutoff = PEACE OF MIND

Every new home should have one of these automatically installed on the main water valve and older homes should definitely have the homeowner install one. Valve controller, water sensors, talking hub...ALL GREAT!!

I've had two other water sensor, water valve shut off systems. One went out of business the other was not very good. After reviewing numerous YouTube videos this one looked very good. I like that the system uses it's own proprietary software. The valve controller will run on 4 AA battery backup in case of power outage and the D2D setup will also allow the water sensors to communicate with the water valve controller if WiFi and or power is out. What a great system!! This is the way a water leak sensing system with water valve control SHOULD WORK !!! The talking hub also works flawlessly.
