Mine worked straight-away after the simple setup. Simple meaning I followed the instructions to get it connected to my WiFi/Internet and instructions were perfect! I love the broad range of volume in such a compact form and is twice as loud than I expected. I did mount mine in a portable communications enclosure that I hand built so the surprising breadth of volume worked perfectly for my application. Small, portable, loud if desired, and “just works” with NO issues!!! Excellent tech; two thumbs up!!! :)
I'm amazed how far I can put the input devices away from the base unit.
I had to call in concerning my speaker hub set up. I still can't get it to repeat the alarm or change the alarm sound. The person I spoke with did help me further set it up as far as email and better iphone alerts. He was helpful. I am still happy with the unit.
The non speaker hub was so easy to program, I figured this one would be a piece of cake. It simply isn't showing my phone to connect to its built in SSID to set up the local Wi-Fi. I may be returning this.
Easy to setup and works as I need. Love the size of the speaker hub and clarity of the speaker. The dry contact sensor work really well. The only suggestion I have is maybe use a different image to demonstrate an open and close contact as you state it can be used for multiple things, I'm not using it for a door but a dry contact input from something else.
