Smart relay, can control electrical loads up to 5 amps at 120V (or control larger loads by using this relay to control other relays or contactors with sufficient voltage and current ratings)

NEEDS FLAG ON DC ONLY POWER SUPPLY OR MAKE IT AC/DC CAPABLE

I regret to report that today I hooked up the relay that you sent, and much to my surprise, it started smoking when I applied the 24V power.

Obviously, I made the mistake of connecting it to a 24 V AC power supply, NOT a DC power supply. I don't know how many times this type of error occurs with your project, but I would be willing to bet it is a lot.

Here are some suggestions on how to reduce this error rate. \
Print the 5-24V DC message on the relay in RED.
Print the (+) in RED.
Use a USB-C port for connecting the DC voltage to this unit.
The DC Power Supply should be included with the product or at least offered for sale WITH it.
Offer multiple lengths of USB-C cable to connect the power supply to the relay.
Consider adding a USB-C out port on the YoLink Hub that can supply DC power to the relay.
Make the relay accept both DC and AC power sources.
The unit you sent is now toast and will not function. Please send me another one to the same address to replace the one that I fried.

Paired with gate sensors

I run a sniffspot.com private dog park in a fenced field next to my house and yard. I put yolink sensors on 4 gates between my yard and that field. I used this relay to turn on a red stop light at the sniffspot entrance when any of the gates to my yard are open to prevent guests from entering if any of the gates to my yard are accidentally left open

Perfect answer

Needed a relay contact to remote start my whole house generator. This product alliws me to do so from my phone! Also use temperature sensors and am very happy with yolink products

reliable relay with great range

I wanted a failsafe way to protect my second floor from water leaks, after 2 insurance claims in 5 years, I have Zigbee sensors, but, I could not relay on those because of their limited range, I was researching this, and came across Yolink, and the Lora platform, the setup was a breeze, app and hub found sensors , relays very fast, I tested the range, it was wonderful, I had an issue on how to program the D2D function, I contacted support, and Phoebe replied very fast, explained everything in details. this is a great product from a company that stands behind their products, this is the way to go when you need real, reliable protection.

Pointless configurations

SIMPLE FIRMWARE UPDATE REQUIRED. I have a relay YS5706 and Yolink door sensor. When pairing the two as D2D operation, the relay only toggles from off to on and only changes state one time when the door contact is EITHER seen to open or close. It doesn't just work one way, or the other... AND you must reset the relay yourself! WTF! It's a door contact paired to a "smart" relay. THE RELAY SHOULD CHANGE FROM ONE STATE TO THE OTHER AND CONSTANTLY BACK AND FORTH AS THE DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES. As it is now, firmware is designed for this setup to be a ONE TIME trigger and then a human is required to reset the device. Absolutely pointless and a disappointment considering such restrictive firmware and the lack of engineering support to update the relay's firmware.
