The controller can use the adapter with batteries as backup, or either power source alone. Battery life depends on use.
Current water use, historical charts and CSV export are available in the app. Configure usage, leak-analysis and shutoff thresholds for the installation before relying on automated closure.
Do not use meter analysis as the sole means of leak detection. Install separate spot leak sensors at likely leak locations.
After Control-D2D pairing, compatible YoLink water sensors can operate the valve during an internet outage if paired devices remain powered and in radio range. A YoLink hub with an internet connection is required for app access and remote alerts.
