Q: What happens if there is no internet when the power goes out? Even if there is no Internet, do I receive the push or does an alarm sound?
A: Great question, since internet and power tend to go out, together. Since our devices are supervised by our cloud servers (see the heartbeat supervision image), you will get a notification of your choice (phone push notification, and/or email and/or text, assuming your phone has an internet connection) within 5 minutes.
The Power Fail Alarm is also going to be in alarm. It will flash the LEDs and activate it's piezo sounder. It will keep working because it has battery back-up.
Q: If it's USB-powered does that mean it'll work in non-120v countries with the appropriate ac adapter?
A: That's right! The Power Fail Alarm can monitor power from a USB adapter/power supply on ANY voltage outlet, making it compatible with international voltages.
Q: Is there a charge or subscription for email alerts? what is the charge if there are more than 5 sms alerts in a month?
A: You get 5 SMS free each month, per device, plus five, so for this kit you get 15 per month. You can get 200 or 500 more per month for 2 or 5 dollars per month, respectively.
