Introduction:

The Valve Controller 2 is and smart valve controller for use with the Bulldog Valve Robot or a 12VDC motorized valve (not included), with three power configurations: AC-only, AC with battery back-up, and batteries-only. Please note! This item does NOT include a Bulldog Valve Robot or motorized valve. This is sold as a replacement part, but if it is used with older version Bulldogs or motorized valves, they may not be compatible with the valve position input on the controller and/or the cable connectors may not be compatible. Purchase a complete kit, with valve controller and Bulldog or motorized valve, such as those found here.

Smart valve controller, with wireless operation; communication with the hub is wireless, power is by batteries, with optional external 12VDC power supply (via plug-in power supply; requires 120V outlet).
Battery-powered (four standard alkaline AA batteries, included)
LoRa long-range/low-power technology offers 2+ years battery life, compared to 1+ year for other brands
Alexa, Google voice assistant, Home Assistant and IFTTT integration
YoLink Control D2D device-to-device pairing allows for the Smart Motorized Valve to be directly controlled by YoLink water sensors or other devices, without an internet connection, and without power ("No WiFi, No Internet, No Power - No Problem!")
YoLink’s industry-leading long range communication (1/4 mile, open air!) allows for operation in larger homes and in areas difficult for other wireless systems, such as basements, separate garages/structures, and even outside your home
Remote status and control with the convenient YoLink app

Q: Does this come with the plug-in power supply shown? A: Yes, it does. The use of the power supply is optional, though. You can power the valve controller with batteries, only, with the AC plug-in power supply and batteries, or by itself.

Q: Are the batteries replaceable? A: Yes. Open the battery cover using a small or medium sized Phillips screwdriver. Replace the batteries with four AA alkaline or lithium non-rechargeable batteries.

Q: Is this weather-resistant, can it be used outside? A: The Valve Controller 2 is IP66 rated and can be used outdoors.

I was looking at different options of shutting off the water case of a leak most of them were very expensive and didn't serve areas that were critical water damage. This gives you an option of not using power or Wi-Fi to able to shut off water in case of loss of power. With the app you control the valve on or off at your own demand. I recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a peace of mind for freezing or burst pipes in there home. read more

I tried other I had a water softener meltdown while away and incurred a huge water bill and have been freaked for weeks. I installed the YoLink valve yesterday and have been putting it through its paces. It really works. I have cycled the water valve about 30 times, testing the app and the sensors and the devices work as anticipated every time. My spouse was VERY skeptical that this was a solution, she is now a huge fan. Installation was not quite as easy as shown in the videos, but it was not awful.. read more
