A: The YoLink In-wall Outlet offers remote control through the YoLink app, timer and scheduling functions, and the ability to create smart scenes and automation between the In-wall Outlet and YoLink sensors. It is also compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT.

If other brand smart devices support Alexa, Google, or IFTTT, you can create routines or applets to control the YoLink In-wall Outlet in conjunction with those devices. This allows for seamless integration and expanded smart home functionality.


Q: Does the YoLink In-Wall Outlet support fast charging?

A: No, the USB port on the YoLink In-Wall Outlet provides a standard 5V/2A charging output, which is not sufficient for fast charging capabilities required by some smartphones and devices.


Q: Why does the YoLink In-Wall Outlet keep disconnect frequently?

A: There are two possible reasons:

Incomplete device status loading due to poor mobile phone network connectivity. Ensure that your mobile phone has a strong and stable network connection for optimal performance.

Insufficient interval time between device operations. If the device is operated too quickly or repeatedly, it may not fully respond, leading to connectivity issues. Ensure that the interval time between operations is more than 6 seconds to avoid this problem.


Q: Can I control the YoLink In-Wall Outlet remotely?

A: Yes, you can remotely turn the In-Wall Outlet on or off using the YoLink app.


Q: Does the YoLink In-Wall Outlet have scheduling and timer functions?

A: Absolutely! The In-Wall Outlet has both scheduling and timer functions, which can be set up through the YoLink app.

Q: Can I create smart scenes and automations with the YoLink In-Wall Outlet?

A: Yes, you can set up smart scenes and automations for the In-Wall Outlet using the YoLink app.


Q: Is the YoLink In-Wall Outlet compatible with voice assistants like Alexa and Google Assistant?

A: Yes, the In-Wall Outlet works with both Alexa and Google Assistant, allowing you to use voice commands to control it.


Q: Can I integrate the YoLink In-Wall Outlet with IFTTT?

Q: What is the maximum number of Controllers I can pair with a YoLink In-Wall Outlet?

A: With YoLink Control, there is no strict limit to the number of Controllers you can pair with an In-Wall Outlet. However, for optimal performance, we recommend linking up to 128 devices.


Q: If there is a power outage and the power is restored, will the YoLink In-Wall Outlet automatically turn back on?

A: You can customize the power-on behavior in the YoLink app. Go to the Device screen, tap the three dots in the upper right corner to access the Device Details screen, and select "Power on status." From there, you can set the In-Wall Outlet to turn back on to its previous state (last state), turn all on, or turn all off.


Q: How can I delete scheduled items in the YoLink app?

A: To delete a scheduled item in the YoLink app, simply swipe left on the schedule you wish to remove. This action will delete the selected schedule.


Q: Can I see the remaining time for the timer on the YoLink In-Wall Outlet?

A: Yes, make sure your YoLink app is up to date. The remaining time for the timer should be displayed on the device screen within the app.


Q: What is the difference between the schedule and timer functions in the YoLink app?

A: The timer function in the YoLink app is designed for one-time events, whereas the schedule function is for setting up recurring events. Both of these settings are saved in the device itself, allowing them to function even without an internet connection.


Q: Does the programming work when the internet is down?

A: If the internet is disconnected, remote control of the YoLink In-Wall Outlet through the app will not work. However, schedules and timers saved in the device itself will continue to function. YoLink Control, which allows you to use the YoLink Remote to turn the In-Wall Outlet on or off, can also operate without an internet connection.


Q: I could not find an action or connection for the Smart Outlet on IFTTT. Is there a workaround?

A: The YoLink Outlet works with IFTTT as a triggered device. When you are setting up an IFTTT applet, you can find the YoLink Outlet under the "Then" section. Look for the "Turn on/off outlet" action, where you should be able to find and select your YoLink Outlet.


Q: Can I control both outlets remotely in the YoLink In-Wall Outlet?

A: No, only Outlet 1 in the YoLink In-Wall Outlet is a smart plug, allowing for remote control via the YoLink smartphone app. Outlet 2 is a standard, non-smart electrical outlet and cannot be controlled remotely.


Q: I purchased a YoLink wall outlet and it has plastic inserts in the outlet slots. When I insert a plug, the plastic pieces won't move, and I can't insert a plug. How do I remove these inserts or get the slots to open?

A: The plastic inserts in the YoLink wall outlet slots are indeed a child safety feature designed to prevent children from inserting objects into the outlet. These inserts should automatically slide out of the way when you apply equal pressure on both sides of the plug while inserting it. If you're having difficulty inserting a plug, try applying firm and even pressure on both prongs simultaneously as you push the plug into the outlet. If the issue persists contact YoLink customer support for assistance.
