A smart handheld fob, with four buttons, each button with a short-press and long-press action. Associated button actions can control your YoLink system and individual devices, as well as trigger Alexa routines and IFTTT applets.

Button Features:
Regarding YoLink features, each button has the following capabilities:
  • Short-press and long-press actions (two per button X four buttons = 8 actions)
  • Directly control a YoLink device (for example, unlock a smart deadbolt)
  • Send a notification (for examples, send a text message, or play a text-to-speech message on SpeakerHubs)
  • Activate a scene (for example, lock multiple doors, turn on exterior floodlights)
  • Control an Alarm Strategy (for example, arm or disarm security devices)
Regarding the Alexa integration, each button has the following capabilities:
  • Activate one Alexa routine (one per button X four buttons = 4 Alexa routines)
Please note:
  • The Alexa app is required, and the YoLink skill must be installed
  • The FlexFob buttons are displayed in Alexa as motion sensors
Regarding the IFTTT integration, each button has the following capabilities:
  • Activate one IFTTT applet per each button short-press or long-press (two per button X four buttons = 8 IFTTT applets)
Please note:
  • The IFTTT app is required, and the YoLink skill must be installed (learn more at ifttt.com)
  • IFTTT is a paid service, for use beyond three free applets

Q:  Do I need a hub if I am using the Alexa integration?  A: Yes. The Alexa integration operates via an internet connection, which is provided to the fob by a YoLink Hub or SpeakerHub. You also want to have a hub so that you can get low-battery alerts, and to perform firmware updates, etc.

Q:  Are the batteries replaceable?  A: Yes. The battery cover is accessible from the back of the fob. After removing the screw (with a small Phillips screwdriver) gently pry off the cover with a slotted screwdriver. Replace the two AA batteries, then snap the cover back on, and reinsert and tighten the screw.

Q: Is this weather-resistant, can it be used outside?  A: Yes, it is weather-resistant and it can be used outdoors.
